Ice, acrylic on canvas, 100x100cm, 2005
Fluidity has become the central experience of my recent paintings ; the drawing's fluidity, controlled by the smooth gesture which traces the moist shape, the hasardous fluidity of the quickly laid soaked colour, as liquid as possible. This liquidity induces the spreading of unpredictable vertical lines, into strata landscapes.
Shapes without flesh, forms going up in smoke, these friendly presences amuse and surprise me as a living archaeology, stimulate and question me by their potential of knowledge and transformation.
